I’m about as big a Haskell fanboy as they come but I’m skeptical about this recent claim floating around that Haskell is used for HFT. It’s used in finance, yes, but I’ve never heard of it used in HFT. Do you have any concrete references for that?
- dllthomas 5y agoFor an exceptionally loose definition of "used", some years back I defined my testing setup in Haskell at a place doing HFT...
- the_af 5y agoYes, my friend worked in a UK based HFT firm which employed Haskell. Don't remember the name and I don't know if it's ok if I disclosed it if I did.
- tome 5y agoGood to know! I guess they must be very secretive. I wish I knew who they are. I'd like to work for them :)
