On one hand, I love TypeScript and I'm familiar with its syntax. On the other, I'm not sure it should be forced.
My general opinion is the complexity of JavaScript is increasing quickly.
Should JavaScript eventually end up like, say, TypeScript? I'm not sure.
- dfabulich 5y agoThis proposal is compatible with Flow and other type checkers. It's not forcing TypeScript. (The types are just comments!)
- windows2020 5y agoModifying the grammar to support (ignore) new TypeScript-like syntax is more than 'just comments'.
