Things You Should Know About User-Generated Content Moderation
- webmaven 5y agoWow. The assumption that content moderation boils down to eliminating profanity from comments is... well "naive" doesn't really cover it. "Willfully ignorant" is closer. I'm not sure what this company's clients are supposed to do when they find themselves overrun with Nazis, incels, QAnons, trolls, bots, doxers, CSAM, etc. Eliminating profanity doesn't really do much to address the overwhelming majority of abuse prevalent on the contemporary Internet.
