Then problem is in the questions being asking for the technical interviews. I agree Leetcode questions are generally not a good signal because they're often removed from everyday problems one may encounter. Though they may be fun to do. If I could get a job just solving Leetcode problems, I might chose it over refactoring messy codebases or joining disparate APIs.
