I'd be curious to see the data, but I think these tests are overall good predictors of SWE in the company. Companies who use these types of tests (including FAANG) aren't stupid. Yes, these tests aren't perfect but no recruitment method is. There are many other constraints to consider and overall they are an acceptable solution. I'd recommend to practice and take these interviews with an open mind. Otherwise, there are companies who use different type of interviews.
