Anyone knows why Zen 3 Threadripper just got announced, while Zen 3 desktop is a year and a half old and about to be replaced? Why is the workstation part a generation behind?
- EddieRingle 5y agoMy understanding is that they prioritized higher margin (server) EPYC sales, due to the supply issues and the fact that they're more or less the same chip.
- philliphaydon 5y agoMost likely chip shortage and Intel not having anything to compete with.
