Ukraine war: Why has 'Z' become a Russian pro-war symbol?
- Gollapalli 5y agoMaybe the russians simply prefer zmacs over emacs? Interesting read though. I didn't know Z was a new thing, and was curious why that of all things would be the symbol they put on everything.
- aritmo 5y agoLooks like a rotated "N", for "new driver".
- eveningcoffee 5y agoThis symbol does not mean anything. It is just a random letter they put on their military vehicles to avoid friendly fire. That's it. There is no deep meaning behind it. What they are trying to do after initial complete failure is to build a full Nazi propaganda out of it in desperate attempt to somehow mobilize the public opinion to back their genocide against Ukrainians.
