- tomcam 5y agoA very long article and I enjoyed every bit of it. It asked all the questions I have had about their motivations, their market focus, and why they have been raising money.
- ikurei 5y agoI love the contrast between reading this and the new Apple product being announced today. Part of me wants a Mac Studio. Part of me wants to buy a Raspberry Pi and see how much of my work I could do on that little thing.
- techdragon 5y agoThe Raspberry Pi company should definitely not go public. Any further emphasis on the profit motive will undermine the qualities that have made them such a success.

You see those parts get recontextualized in all kinds of ways: LCD screens are all over the place. They’re so cheap because cell phones exist. Thats not even a question, and never gets addressed, but should be. RPI foundation has been fighting tooth and nail with the community to prevent use of off the shelf cellphone MIPI screens, all because they have one partnership to sell junk $60 800x480 module.
