This is the beachhead for this kind of thing. We have a state doing something so obviously bad that everyone is ok with any kind of retaliatory action. And now it's been demonstrated that enough pressure will cause companies to pull out, stop buying, whatever. So next it will be Isreal, or Hungary or Poland ("populists") or Republican states, or companies that did something people disagree with, or a comedy special. I think it's important to find constructive ways to put Russia in its place, but I'm terrified at the precedent we're setting, and the "problem formulation" we now are defining, of "show that something is bad like what Russia did and the will lead to it being cancelled".
