- Turing_Machine 5y agoIt's not pretty, IMO, and I don't like the new monitor designs either. On the other hand, if I needed that level of performance, esthetics would no doubt take a back seat. Edit: I'd be happy to live with the uglier display design, given the extra flexibility in adjusting height and tilt.
- cjsawyer 5y agoI think they were talking about how you can plug in your own screen LOL
- t_h_r_o_w_away 5y agoCPU, GPU, and Memory are all in the same silicon package so my guess is that any modularity would be limited to upgrading storage. PCI cards are very un-Apple and IMHO, I don't see them supporting them beyond current gen Mac Pros.
- goosedragons 5y agoIt looks really bad too. Like the whole balance is entirely thrown off. At least it has front USB ports...
- nouveaux 5y ago"Not sure how modular it is with no internal slots." Given that the GPU and memory are on the chip and unswappable, the vast majority of people will only need to swap out the hard drive. Most people can just get by on external peripherals.
- Bad_CRC 5y agoIt's a Mac Mini SUV :D
- amatheus 5y agoIt sounded strange to me when they called it modular but to me it seems they call it modular for not including a display.
