It's March, so it'll be more than 6 months before serious heating is required again in middle Europe...more than enough time to get Liquid Gas from the middle east.
Would that be inconvenient for Germany and other countries in the same region? Certainly. Rising prices, economic fallout, the whole thing will be very inconvenient.
But to Russias economy, it will be outright devastating, as production and sale of natural gas and oil are a major pillar of it's GDP.
The west has ways out of this, and the financial and structural resources to use them. Liquid Gas from the middle east to bridge the gaps, development of the Norvegian production as a middle-tier solution, and ultimately changing it's energy politics entirely to renewable energies, nuclear power (the latter includes researching fusion energy, which will become the dominant energy source at some point).
