Nope. Why would it be? If anything, the current Russian invasion is just going to push other countries to join. Georgia and Moldova just applied. And popular support for it in Sweden and Finland is at an all time high.
- roschdal 5y agoThe world would be more peaceful if NATO hadn't expanded to eastern Europe.
- vegai_ 5y agoThat's one option. Another option is that Russia would have swallowed the Baltics like they did to Belarussia and are currently trying to do to Ukraine. In which case the world would not be more peaceful. We would have the exact same problems as before, just with a larger Russia. If Russia wants peace, perhaps it should start by allowing peaceful protests inside its own borders.
