1. You can disconnect your car from the internet if you wish 2. They have been very security minded, tested it multiple ways, and have paid attackers to try, paid for bugs like a real company. The internal car os is separate from the much more fragile 'infotainment' display. Given all that, I still wish mine had an easy way to disconnect the internet, and also to disable os updates.
