It seems like it would be a bad business move by setting such a precedent. I could see him perhaps turning off ota updates but shutting the cars off means that future buyers in countries like China will have to think twice about risks of losing use of their vehicle if their countries relations with the west turns sour.
- thfuran 5y agoShutting cars off ought to mean that telsa gets immediately disincorporated. Companies just should not be able to decide that they no longer want you to use the product that they sold you and remotely destroy it.
