"Make peace, you fools!" German field marshal Gerd von Rundstedt July 1944 That's why a KGB guy might write something like this - the intent wouldn't be to demoralize russians - it'd be to save Russia. It still might be propaganda/disinformation but I wouldn't reject it out of hand.
