- hurflmurfl 5y agoIt's used quite often on Russian web-sites nowadays. A few years ago it was pretty rare, with most sites just using the abbreviation "руб." (rub.). As for physical locations, those tend to use the abbreviation, possibly because there's more space on the paper price tag than there is on your mobile screen, but could also be due to some law or some tag printers not supporting this symbol, not sure.
