May be it is a reasonable option for Ukraine to accept terms to stop the immediate carnage. Especially since support from west has been indirect and at a distance. West seems not to want "skin in the game" in Ukraine. Perhaps if terms are accepted it will make Ukraine another Belarus. That might be better than becoming like Syria or Afghanistan.
