Just last month Malawi also had a case (the first in Africa in more than 5 years apparently). Apparently the strain matches one from Pakistan, but they don't know how it made it to Africa. They're performing a large scale inoculation drive since apparently only 1 in 200 cases leads to paralysis (which is when it is spotted).
