One man's gimmick is another man's novel idea to solve a problem.
- saiya-jin 5y agoSolving a problem... partially, maybe. Tires or seat still get stolen, these look expensive to replace. You pay tons of extra money just to have something different. No way the construction rigidity doesn't suffer with extra moving parts. Over few years, its probably creaking, loose, and who knows how it behaves during an accident. This adds mechanical complexity to a tool which is best served with as much simplicity as possible. How much does this cost over good U-lock which also holds 1 wheel?
- Wojtkie 5y agoThe tires have a unique bolt similar to anti-theft lug nuts on cars and the Seat is part of the locking mechanism. You can't steal either of them without the key or unique lug nut socket.
