Twitter is an awful product. I will never understand why it became popular, why it remains popular, or its appeal.
- hadlock 5y agoTwitter's market share has only shrunk, and their user base has been flat since about 2015. It is "popular" with a very specific group of people but I don't think they've ever topped 350 million human users at any point in their existence, which while not small, but they're not growing, either.
- beeboop 5y agoIt's popular because popular people like having a platform and audience, and people like hearing from (and maybe interacting with) popular people.
