The right (and others) have lost trust in establishment narratives over the last decade or so, so they're not going to be pro Ukraine just because MSNBC or the state department says so. For some, it's purely political, but for others it's a matter of being curious and looking more deeply into the players involved and how we got here. I don't think the average American is familiar with names like Igor Kolomoysky, Victoria Newland, Stepan Bandera. If they were, I'm not sure they would be rabidly pro-ukranian like they are today.
