This is basically anti-Republican misinformation. Even for NYT it's a stretch. I have not seen anything anywhere that is remotely pro-Russia. When I saw the headline, I thought it might be about a backlash against the mindless pile on of support for a country most people probably couldn't find on a map two weeks ago. But now I see it's just an absurd attempt to try and bring some weird anti-trump anti-anything other than coastal liberal twist to this story. The invasion has been roundly condemned and opposed by all sides. It's disgusting that it's being used by the NYT for political gain here.
