The Seattle Times had an article a while back (http://community.seattletimes.nwsource.com/favorfactory/ http://community.seattletimes.nwsource.com/favorfactory/), which has a database of earmarks and contributions from companies and executives/owners/etc. of companies. Often you will see contributions from high-level company officers. The data isn't good enough to show causality, but some correlation. Anyway...interesting stuff.
