Probably a preemptive move to remind those in the government that they are vulnerable and, should they raise their voice about Putin’s activities, they can be swatted down with this law.
- HWR_14 5y agoAlso, to lower the cost of sanctions on them. If they start rumbling about losing money outside Russia, Putin can just take everything in Russia or not. And if sanctions get removed, that still can happen.
