Apple shied away form Intel due to their failure at landing mobile chips.
Intel failed at mobile due to their (then) sales-focused (rather than engineer-focused) regimen.

- causality0 5y agoYeah. Just look at the performance per dollar ratio on mobile Intel chips right around Cherry Trail. Bay Trail and Cherry Trail lines were very good deals, and then core-m threw all that right out the window.
