Economic depression is an understatement. Hospitals crumble. Financial system crumbles. People will be dying due to missed screenings and having no money for doctors. This is a fact. Bombs are part of the equation, and calling this “just an economic depression” is the same exact line of logic that ruling party follows to justify the war. Part of my family (wife’s brother, her parents) are still in Moscow, with very dire outlook on financial side. Our relocation is the only feasible way to keep them out of poverty.
