Russia only needs to stop the war and withdraw their troops, and sanctions will go away in no time. There is no way Ukraine will become pro-Russian any time in the future, though, but that's obviously on Putin. It's hard to win the hearts and minds of people by bombing them and occupying their country. Maybe Putin should have asked the US about their experiences with that before ordering the invasion of Ukraine.
