Well, it didn't take Telegram long to reveal their true colours, after all their disingenuous posturing about privacy and freedom of expression. back when the WhatsApp scandal blew up. I've lost count of the number of times I've read recently about them censoring this or that channel.
Mind you --given most of Telegram's updates seem to concentrate on junk like adding more animated emojis and cutesy cartoons, while basic functionality problems are left un-fixed for years-- I think it's been clear for a long time now that Telegram isn't a serious option for people actually valuing 'privacy and freedom'.
FWIW: this is little more than virtue signaling whack-a-mole anyway. RT.com [and the other Russian news sources] can just keep setting up new Telegram channels to broadcast on. The current one is:

BTW: I'm not taking the Russian side in this conflict, at all. I just happen to be vehemently opposed to censorship. If you're confident enough in the righteousness of your own arguments, you have nothing to fear from letting people hear your opponent's version too.
