I remeber when about 15 years ago Google startet with the self driving cars and alot of buzz was created about that. It was that in aout 5 years time every car will be selfdriving and all of the automotive industry has no clue about that. Now, years late Google outsourced it to Waymo and said it will takes much more years. Funfact: It will take much more longer than any of the IT people think. Because many of the IT people have noe glue about OT and Safety.
