- pedalpete 5y agoTo clarify your comment, and not force everyone to look at the license in github. You are eligible to use Remotion for free if you are: * an individual * a for-profit organisation with up to 3 employees * a non-profit or not-for-profit organisation * evaluating whether Remotion is a good fit, and are not yet using it in a commercial way
- esperent 5y agoThat's not an open source license. Open source means that people can take your source code, fork it, and distribute their own version of the code. Note, this is not a complaint about your license, which seems very fair. But I don't think you can call the code open source with that license. Source available is probably the correct term. EDIT: assumed from your post that you're involved in this library. Apologies if that's not correct
- pedalpete 5y agoI am not involved with the project, but wondered what the license was after seeing the previous comment.
- uncomputation 5y agoIt’s “source available” as I believe people are calling it now. > Disallowed use cases > It is not allowed to copy or modify Remotion code for the purpose of selling, renting, licensing, relicensing, sublicensing your own derivate [sic] of Remotion.
