A lot of discussion here is focused on "suffering". There's ample demonstration that increasing the suffering of a population doesn't lead to uprising. North Korea, Iran, even the Soviet Union are examples. What leads to revolution are ideas and belief of success. Cutting off the internet seems counter productive.
