A Practical Introduction to Ansible (2015)
- eternityforest 5y agoAnsible is so wonderful that I almost think we should stop teaching people bash scripts and just tell everyone to use Ansible if you have stuff to do on Linux beyond just a list of commands. It's like, finally, some tech that actually works how I think it should. Idempotent, declarative, explicit, mostly free of terse oneliner syntax so dense you don't even know where to start researching what it does, and designed from the ground up to remote into things, and to do stuff in an automated way. I would strongly consider it even on localhost, if I had any tasks aside from build scripts that needed scripting on my desktop.
