I'm not disagreeing with your point, however IIRC this is heavily concentrated among unvaccinated individuals, and I believe that Apple/Google/etc employees are overwhelmingly vaccinated. I would be shocked if these companies didn't have accommodation processes in place for individuals who are still at high risk. I'm not disagreeing with your overall point, but there's no guarantee that the same trends/statistics exist in this sub-population.
