Constructed slavic languages have a long history, with many before and some after Slovio. I have a Polish friend who was learning Interslavic a few years ago, mostly for fun.

- WilTimSon 5y agoHas your friend ever had any real experience using it? I'm curious how viable these uniting languages are in practice. It feels like he might be able to understand people from different languages, but they wouldn't necessarily understand him when he's using Interslavic, right?
- waffleiron 5y agoThey did some experimentation with a Czech/Slovak colleagues, but those two languages are quite close already. I'm not sure if they ever got the chance to practice with a slavic language that is further removed from Polish. I recall watching this video at the time (which might have been their inspiration to start learning it). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NztgXMLwv4A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NztgXMLwv4A
