- prepend 5y agoGoogle news takes newspaper headlines and content, removes the ads, and displays their own ads in the feed. This is the same for all the content preview used by Google in search results alongside ads.

- hackerfromthefu 5y agoI guess this is more of an analogy, but it seems that a huge amount of the revenue of the ad industry now goes to Google, where it didn't before, so I can see where the op may be coming from.
