Musk: Probability of Starlink being targeted is high. Please use with caution
- awb 5y agoBeing targeted how? Is he saying using StarLink is like a broadcast signal to the Russians?
- phreenet 5y agoI believe he is warning that the terminals, while transmitting, may give enough of a SIGINT/ELINT signature to allow an adversary to target it with munitions.
- rolph 5y agoi have seen suggestion the wire between "dishy" and you can be fairly long; im sure if you went to a CAT5 or CAT6 cable network, right away , you could go IIRC 445 feet before its too long. so "dishy" may be outstanding in his field while your at distance. I believe the danger is dishy transmits/emits/produces signals that may be included in the russian directives for engagement; as a undesireable RF device
