RT America ceases productions and lays off most of its staff
- counternotions 5y agoWould have been nice if TikTok had suffered the same fate. Drastically higher societal damage caused to America through that platform. No one cares about RT, comparatively...
- JAlexoid 5y agoTikTok wins by offering better format and lack of crap of Facebook/Instagram. Somehow they managed to better than Snapchat... in serving short content But it's not invincible. It's very trigger happy at banning people, causing people to migrate to Instagram and even a light resurgence on YouTube.
- throwawaymanbot 5y agoHas TikTok’s parent invaded anyones sovereign country and is currently murdering innocent civilians in that sovereign country??

- yks 5y ago> “I have never felt more heartbroken as they have nothing to do with this conflict and seriously were just trying to make a decent living to provide for their families,” the host said. The banality of evil
- lmz 5y agoDo you feel this way only about RT or does it extend to US propaganda organs as well e.g. Voice of America / Radio Free Europe?
- amazd 5y agoThis is interesting, I'm no supporter of Russian media or Russia in general but RT is the media outlet that just came out with this very interesting newly released documentary about the current conflict from the Russian perspective: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9Z02bMtOK8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9Z02bMtOK8 The closure of these production companies as satisfying as it feels from a western perspective, will mean less access to other (potentially legitimate) point of views.
