With many new disruptions in the private medical sector for example CostPlus bringing prescription drug costs down considerably, do you see any opportunities for collaboration between these newer startups in adjacent industries? If so can you speak to some that could benefit me as a customer in addition to the standard insurance that is provided?
- mjamilkowski 5y agoThere are a lot of opportunities to partner with other innovators / startups. We are always looking for ways to do things differently. For you, it translates into a different experience with greater access and more convenience. It should also mean lower cost because of the shift to virtual and at-home care. As for who - its a big universe. There are innovations in primary care, gut biome / nutrition, biometrics, physical therapy / activity, sleep, mental health, fertility / family planning, cancer, community resources / counseling, and so on. We have a running list of over 300 companies we have reviewed and have considered in terms of how to include. The hard part is to sponsor a mix that does not overlap too much. We've done that work.
