We are same age and we were on similar trajectories, I just made the jump few years ago and got the job, quickly took a tech lead role and currently flirting with being mid level manager. Well, the jump was easy. If you were able to survive two decades being indie you are going to survive having job and maybe even thrive in that environment. Should you do it, or maybe even should I did it? I don't know. I do miss old days, but there is something in being paid each month without chasing next gig. But you know what? You can try it for few months and see by yourself. I dit that and, hey, old punk is now climbing career ladder.
