Most of these seem reasonable, but why do you suggest that he lie to his ISP by telling them his router is broken instead of buying a new one himself? You are casually suggesting he commit fraud to save $100. What are you thinking?
- jedberg 5y agoNot sure how their ISP works, but I pay a rental fee every month for my router, and the rep told me I'm welcome to change it out any time, all I have to do is tell them it's broken. I'm not allowed to buy my own router, and most big ISPs in the US work the same way. So I'm just repeating what AT&T told me.
