I've got the same problem. I've been somewhat successful with the following: If I commit to reading anything long form (say more than 1 minute) I have to take notes. The outcome is that I evaluate each article/post, asking myself, "Am I gonna learn anything reading this and am I willing to take notes?". Sometimes the answer is no, but asking the question allows me to avoid FOMO.
