I read that there is another technical deadline looming: apparently the maps in the planes' navigations systems need to be updated every 2-3 weeks for some of the systems to function, and the updates have been suspended as well. Maybe someone here has some further resources on that?
- dhuk_2018 5y agoYes. In the US, all of the FAA charts and descriptions expire after a few weeks and it is not legal to fly with them, in order to keep everyone current. I'm guessing other governments have similar rules.
