I would like to read but i'm getting distracted

- tra3 5y agoI've got the same problem. I've been somewhat successful with the following: If I commit to reading anything long form (say more than 1 minute) I have to take notes. The outcome is that I evaluate each article/post, asking myself, "Am I gonna learn anything reading this and am I willing to take notes?". Sometimes the answer is no, but asking the question allows me to avoid FOMO.
- anon2020dot00 5y agoI just got the most reading I have done in a long time recently. I'm in the midst of changing my sleep schedule from 2 am to 9 am to become from 7 pm to 2 am. But since my body isn't still adjusted, I only got 2 hours of sleep and was awake from 9 pm onwards. Since this was technically my sleep allocated time, I just laid in bed and read on an e-ink tablet (Boox) using the Google Play Books app. TLDR: Couldn't sleep during new sleep time so just read instead and got a lot of reading done.
