Travel Is Pointless
- jleyank 5y agoOne travels to gain perspective on other areas and peoples, which gives them perspective on where they’re from as well. Some end up appreciating the diversity that they find while others end up appreciating “home” all the more. But without such perspective they lack a basis for understanding and are merely a receptacle of the thoughts of others. Extreme travel is not needed, merely going off the tourist path to walk amongst the natives. Always viewed extreme travel as a competition rather than a search.
