This article was a painful read. It was a long drawn out word salad, or shall I say "verbal diarrhea" of socialist complaining with no backing at all on any of the talking points.
- betwixthewires 5y agoI didn't get that at all from it. I didn't see a real push for socialist talking points, mention of unions aside. Basically the article says "there's no going back, but this isn't the way forward, and the only solution I can see is for people to voluntarily consume less so that they have more financial security."
- WalterBright 5y agoIf one expects the government to provide, one doesn't need to plan for financial security.
- rscho 5y agoLogorrhea
- InvaderFizz 5y agoIf we were trying to make this work, it seems to me that Pathos is more applicable than Logos. Therefore I would suggest Pathorrhea as a descriptor for an "emotionally charged and factually unsupported article."
- refurb 5y agoI kept scanning to see what data points were referenced and what the sources were and... there were none.
