PR fluff. There’s no response. Instead it’s being used as an opportunity to market GitHub.
- contingencies 5y agoThe response is very good IMHO. They donated money to charities assisting, they said AUP may be used to report bad content, and they said they are a communications platform and thus in principal aligned themselves with freedom of speech: I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it. Points to Github! Now, if you'd just fix that whole prefer-to-force-branching and max-one-fork-of-external-repo-per-account bug... :)
- TimTheTinker 5y agoNot at all. They came out with a very clear statement of principle on whether they will block service to users in Russia, and why they made that choice.
