Somehow visiting a 4-star store was more efficient than staying home and perusing 10 different 'best-of' lists across kitchen, electronics, book or game categories. I always found something interesting when I visited. It was a bit like a Sharper Image but instead of 80% of the items being useless gadgets it was more like 20%.
