Facebook allows praise of neo-nazi ukrainian battalion
- chasil 5y agoThis is too much, agreed. But if Kiev stands tonight, then the enemy of my enemy is my friend. We can sort it out later.

- necovek 5y agoI wouldn't read too much into this specific instance, but the general point about how Facebook itself will drive a policy is the thing that creeps me out. That Iran thing mentioned in passing is most terrifying! How and why did people allow it to be the entity shaping public opinion?
- rvz 5y agoVery difficult to deny this from Meta. This fuels the weak 'excuse' that Putin is trying to 'de-nazify' Ukraine by going after Azov Battalion and then they will see this and probably now say that 'Western media, tech companies are now supporting Neo-nazis'. It doesn't help that non-Ukrainians escaping are getting abused when entering into another country. Maybe they never did matter to them in the first place and that just played into Putin's weak point. But it seems that at this stage, they are both Neo-nazis anyway and social networks like Facebook, Twitter now support them. Oh dear.
- dusted 5y agoSo what are you saying ? More censorship, as long as it servers the right cause?
