- bzzzt 5y agoStreaming networks are perpetually trying to spend less on bandwidth. I already prefer a full-HD blu-ray to 4k Netflix which has more distracting compression artifacts. Just increasing the resolution to 8k and then compressing it in a 10Mbps stream will not increase bandwidth requirements (or quality for that matter).
