  Don’t forget that this is the highest net worth individuals we are talking about. Due to how the country works, it is unbelievable they could create such wealth without involving the government in some way or another, and they may hold influence in relevant circles (no idea). Meanwhile, the seizures would do nothing drastic to their quality of life. If I was an American, though, I imagine I would feel queasy about the precedent. From outside, the culture strongly respects self-made fortunes.
